Which CEUs do I earn?
Our courses are set up to confer CE/credit for AIA (architects), NKBA (kitchen/bath pros), and AOTA (OTs). Details and reporting processes vary by association and state board. AIA Architect and International Associate members have annual LU/HSW requirements; NKBA certified members require 2.0 CEUs per two-year cycle; AOTA administers an Approved Provider program for CEUs. Always verify your board’s requirements.
Do you report CEUs for me?
You receive a certificate through the NAHB learning management system for each class; use it to self-report to your organization or licensing board as required.
I’m outside the U.S. - will my board accept these CEUs?
AIA has International Associate members and its CES/LU system is widely recognized, but acceptance always depends on your local licensing board. NKBA and AOTA programs are U.S.-based; outside the U.S., professionals typically self-report and seek equivalency. Please check with your local regulator.
What do I need to do to earn the CAPS designation?
Attend and complete CAPS 1, 2, and 3, then submit the CAPS application to NAHB. (The official page is https://nahb.org/apply4CAPS). NAHB manages the credential, renewals, and any audits.
When do I get my certificate of completion?
You get your certificate of completion at the end of each day for CAPS 1, 2 and 3. The CAPS designation is granted by NAHB with the subsequent application.
Are there completion requirements?
Yes - attend all three days and pass the final test.
